This week, the feature presentation was from Simon Buckingham Shum who was describing a joint proposal from a group of international researchers on the merits of an open analytics platform. (Accompanying whitepaper.) Buckingham Shum opened by referencing Gardner Campbell's talk the previous week and the importance of being alert and not simplifying the learning analytics process too much.
